Back in the 1970s there was a club called The Hobbit Hole. It was located near Bangor, PA, over the mountain towards Allentown. They served no alcohol, but there were plenty of drugs.The whole place was lit in black light and strobe lights flickering. Great bands played there like Johnny and the High Keys and Sweet Corn, featuring a female lead guitarist. My friend Smitty’s (G.E. Smith to you) band Bone Conduction also played there. One night, he borrowed my Gregory speaker cabinet with 2 12-inch speakers and blew them out. Still waiting for replacement, Smitty.
