This is a recording from a boom box at rehearsal at Roxy Studios. The girls had just reunited and were doing original, 80s-type tunes.

I met them in Washington Square Park one summer night shortly after i moved into a Hell’s Kitchen railroad apartment with a leaky flush box above the toilet, a thousand roaches, and a would-be actor/playwright who thought he could play guitar just because he had an old telecaster.

I wasn’t planning on going out that night, but a friend from Philadelphia, where I had just moved from, called and said he was in town and wanted to go to the village.

Meanwhile, the girls studio time had been cancelled for some reason, so they were rehearsing in the park. They sounded like summer angels and I (and my friend) found our way to them. I convinced them they needed another guitar player, and I was part of the band!
